Description
Texture Layers is an advanced mapping and texturing suite composed of two different 3ds max plug-ins. The first is an "all-in-one" UVW Mapping layering tool and the second is a powerful Compositor Map material for material blending between different mapping layers.
TexLay, the object modifier, greatly improves your productivity with its mapping systems including the unique Spline Mapping and Free Form Mapping types. With Spline Mapping the user is able to map complex 3D models using any bezier spline for building mapping gizmos. Free Form Mapping is similar to the Free Form Deformation mesh tool but allows users to deform mapping gizmos using familiar lattice control points. These two features alone are very powerful mapping tools. The Texture Layers modifier is also able to manage all of your mapping channels in just one modifier. Users are no longer forced to applying multiple UVW Gizmos and Edit Mesh modifiers for complex mapping projects. Texture Layers also does not require the use of Multi-SubObject material ID’s when assigning your materials!
Texture Layers Attenuation, the compositor map, is an advanced masking tool that offers Gizmo Attenuation, UVW Normal Attenuation and Face Attenuation. This allows artists to blend all or parts of a material using a mapping gizmo to control how a material is displayed and the controls to blend the edges of materials into other layered materials, all in one easy to navigate User Interface! Gizmo Attenuation attenuates the maps using a second gizmo in the Texture Layers modifier, UVW Normal Attenuation eliminates the Texture Stretching problem using an easy to use UVW Normal - Attenuation function curve. Face Attenuation is a low level masking control tool, the user is able to control the map visibility in a face just by selecting it in the Texture Layers modifier.
Features:
All-in-one UVW Map layering tool.
Compositor Map for material blending between mapping layers.
Blend using mapping gizmos.
Render unwrapped UVW’s for painting in image editors.
