Seascape for 3ds max is a radical new plug-in that allows the creation of spectacular wave, ocean and wake effects to be incorporated into animation sequences. Based on real world physical representations of wave systems and ocean models, Seascape is a flexible and powerful tool that enables the animator to create realistic ocean scenes that can interact with the environment in 3ds max. Create waves, gale scenes, ripples and wakes from objects moving in the water and much more.

Design everything from calm lake surfaces with ominous ripples, to fully-fledged ocean gales, taps dripping into water, and boats casting wakes in shallow or deep water. Seascape is a revolutionary and holistic approach to the problem of animating ocean scenes, moving ripple effects, trailing wakes behind objects and a range of other water and related sea effects. In development for over a year, Seascape is derived from real-world observations of wave behavior going back hundreds of years and employing some of the latest and most innovative modeling and simulation techniques. The package can be used both on optimized and specialized adaptive surfaces to reduce rendering times, or may be employed on standard 3ds max geometry for a range of animation applications.
