Nsight 3DSkies1© is a collection of realistic pre-rendered skies, mapped onto domes and ready to merge into your scenes. They create an environment of sky and clouds in each direction, including straight up. 3DSkies were designed for animated scenes, where the sky needs to change as the camera moves, but they also work well in still images, especially when accurate reflections are important. 3DSkies represent a variety of weather and lighting conditions, to allow you creative freedom. Types of sky include blue with minimal clouds, cloudy, clear, stormy, dawn, sunset and night. 3DSkies1 contains 34 skies, and 3DSkies2 contains 38, each provided as both a fully 3D sky and a high resolution backdrop. We’ve also included a full set of 3D skydomes, pre-mapped and ready to render. The current CDs contain files for 3D Studio MAX/VIZ, and the .3ds format, which will import into most programs. Other formats are in development, and will be posted on this site for free download when ready. Plans are for AutoCAD .dwg, Lighwave .lwo and Truespace .cob files.
