Description
Many beginners have a problem with fast, draft presentation of their models in 3d MAX. Scanline set to default settings produces dark, illegible images. Advanced renderers like MentalRay, Brazil etc. have many complicated settings, parameters, and are relatively slow (especially for beginners). In this tutorial I will show you simple method of draft rendering using default MAX Scanline renderer. It is not the "best of the best" way to get good looking image with many details, but enables you to render without worrying about settings like number of photons, energy, final gathering etc., just with few clicks. Remember: this is not full, complete tutorial about Scanline Renderer or even Light Tracer, this is only very simple, fast way to get better draft renders. If you are familiar with one of the advanced renderers you probably will not find anything new in this tutorial.
